What you need to consider.

Before we come to quote, it helps us if you have a fairly clear idea in your head of what you want to achieve. Have a look through the list below to help you clarify your ideas:

• What is the overall effect you want to create? Striking or understated?
• Is there a particular "ambience" you want to create in the room?
• What colour should the floor be?
• What sheen level do you like? Matt? Satin? Gloss?
• Will it match your existing decor and furnishings?
• Will you mostly be seeing the room in natural or artificial light?
• Do you want a rustic look or are you worried about draughts? Filling the gaps between the floor boards costs more but greatly improves the floor.
